Referring Clinicians
Prospective Patients
Do I need a referral?
Due to provincial regulations all MSP covered health services require a medical doctor’s referral. Private pay health services are not offered at this time. Clinicians can fax referrals to 604-628-3816. Wait times are dependent on the nature of the referral question.
Our Doctors are also listed on Pathways. eReferrals are accepted from medical clinics using Telus Collaborative Health Record (Input Health) and registered with our clinic. Patients cannot self-refer.
Is my visit covered by MSP?
All consultations, office visits and telehealth appointments are covered by British Columbia’s Medical Services Plan (MSP). MSP allows physicians to charge for prescription medications used during the provision of insured services like a consultation or office visit. This fee includes the cost of ordering and stocking the medications.
Independent Medical Examinations (IME)
Independent medical examinations are available upon request. Please email Nicole, our IME Director with the following information:
- File Type
- Size of Medical Record
- Preferred Assessment Dates
- Report Due Date and Trial Dates
Rush reports requests are subject to additional fees.
Rehab Services
A Doctor’s referral is not needed for physiotherapy or chiropractic care. Costs are typically covered by extended healthcare plans. However, all insurance plans are different so check with your individual provider.
